Lori Loughlin Bio

Lori Loughlin is an American actress born on the 28th of July 1964, in New York City. Prior to becoming an actress, she worked as an elementary lifeguard. She started her career when she was 12 as a print model. She was a TV and print model during her teens. When she was 15 she was in The Edge of Night (1956) as a dancer who was aspiring Jody Travis. She would go on to be on screen from 1980 until 1983. She's best known as Rebecca Donalson-Katsopolis in Full House (1987), appearing from 1988 until 1995. She was Ava Gregory on Summerland (2004) that she co-created and produced. She also played Gelsey Alexander Moondance Alexander (2007) with a cast that included with Don Johnson, Kay Panabaker, James Best, Sasha Cohen and Whitney Sloan. Loughlin and Mossimo Giannulli were among dozens of people charged by the FBI on March 12, 2019. The charges were related to a major college admissions fraud scheme. The indictment said that Loughlin and her husband made a $500,000 sham contribution to the Key Worldwide Foundation so that the University of Southern California admissions committee was convinced that their daughters would be part of the women's rowing team if they were accepted. But none of the girls had ever received training in the sport nor had any intention of doing so. On March 13 2019 Loughlin was arraigned to federal authorities in Los Angeles for her alleged involvement in the multimillion-dollar high-end college bribery scheme. Loughlin was released under bail of $1 million during her appearance before Los Angeles Federal Court. Loughlin along with her husband also gave up their passports at the April 3rd appearance at Boston Federal Court. They also waived their rights to a preliminary hearing. In May 2020, Loughlin and Giannulli pleaded guilty. Giannulli and Loughlin are scheduled for a sentence in the month of August, 2020. The judge could impose a combination sentence of community service, prison time or fines. After her arrest, Loughlin was barred from being able to return to Fuller House.
