Meredith Salenger Bio

Meredith Salenger, an actress writer, producer and actress, was born in Malibu, CA. She began her professional acting career at the age of 10 , playing an orphan who danced and sang in the film "Annie"(1982) directed by John Huston. When she was 14, she had starred in the leading role in "The Journey of Natty Gann" with John Cusack and Ray Wise (1985), which was the first American film to receive the gold prize at the Moscow Film Festival. The film also earned Meredith "Best Actress in a drama" at the Youth in Film Awards for her amazing portrayal of charming Natty Gann. Meredith was a star in "Dream a little Dream" in the film, which was a duet with The Coreys, as well as "A Night in the Life of Jimmy Reardon" -- Meredith quit Hollywood to attend Harvard for a four-year break. She earned her degree cum laude in Psychology. When she returned to Hollywood, Meredith has been part of TV comedies: opposite Steve Carrell in "H.U.D," "Chicks" alongside the same writers as Seinfeld. She has guest starred in "Will & Grace," Charlie Sheen's "Anger Management", Happy! and numerous other shows. She enjoyed her dramatic roles in shows like 24, Dawson's Creek, Grey's Anatomy, Daredevil, Damages, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Cold Case, Close to Home, etc. Meredith was also in the cast with Bill Pullman and Brendan Gleeson in David Kelley’s “Lake Placidand the Lake Placid” alongside Oliver Platt, Oliver Platt and Betty White. John Carpenter's"Village of the Damned," was also a part of Meredith's filmography, as was her appearances as Christopher Reeves and Mark Hamill in various Independent films. Meredith later joined the Star Wars universe voicing characters in The Clone Wars, Rebels, and The Force awakens. You can listen to her voiceovers on The Secret Life of Pets 2. My Little Pony, Teen Titans Go to the Movies, Super Robot Monkey Team Hyperforce Go!, Robot Chicken, Lego DC Super Hero Girls, and many more. Meredith has also been certified as mediator by the Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution in Pepperdine University School of Law. She has been able to successfully resolve more than 100 cases within the Los Angeles Superior Courts. She wed comedian Patton Oswalt in 2017 and became a mom in the blink of an eye to the adorable Alice who is now her top person ever! She has been producing and writing sitcoms and animated shows since 2021 , along with Matt Boren. She also voices many animated shows, including Marvel's M.O.D.O.K. on HULU. (2021) She produces and hosts a funny podcast with her husband called, "Did you get my text?"
