Sarah Catharine Paulson (born December 17th, 1974) is an American actress. She has been awarded numerous awards such as the Primetime Emmy Award as well as the Golden Globe Award. Time magazine named her one the 100 most influential artists in the world in 2017. She gained a lot of attention in the 1990s because of her roles in TV series such as 'Law & Order' and American Gothic. Her appearances on popular TV shows such as "American Horror Story," "Strip', and Game Change' were some of her best-known. Paulson also appeared in a few movies. She was a part-time actress in the cult drama film '12 Years A Slave'. The film was a huge success and won three Oscars. She also played a significant role in the romantic drama "Carol", which was also a big success and received six Oscar nominations. Sarah Paulson played many different roles in the seven different seasons of 'American Horror Story', an anthology of horror, which is loosely based off true incidents. Paulson is among three actors who appeared in all seasons. The show was a huge hit and received positive reviews from the critics. For the performance, Paulson was nominated for four Emmy Awards. Sarah Paulson is bisexual. She was previously engaged to playwright Tracy Letts. She was a lover of Cherry Jones between 2004 and 2009, following their engagement ended. Since 2015, she has been dating actor Holland Taylor, who is older than her by 32 years.
