Rowan Blanchard Bio
Rowan Blanchard, a U.S. actor, was born on October 14, 2001. She was featured on the 2015 list of Time's the most influential teens. Her first film role was Rebecca Wilson in Spy Kids All the Time in the World (2011). She was then cast in the Disney Channel series Girl Meets World (2014)-2017 and earned Young Artist Award nominations. Since then, she has played Jackie Geary in ABC's sitcom The Goldbergs (2017-2018) and Alexandra Cavill (2020-present) on TNT. Blanchard was born in Los Angeles, California, to Elizabeth and Mark Blanchard-Boulbol, who are yoga instructors. Her paternal grandfather has Syrian, Armenian, Lebanese and Moroccan ancestry, and her paternal grandmother's relatives are from England, Denmark, and Sweden. Her paternal grandparents been in Aleppo the city of today's Syria. Named following the character played by Anne Rice in The Witching Hour, she was named after her. Rowan is the younger of two siblings, Carmen and Shane. Blanchard started acting in 2006, at the age of five. She was first cast as Mona's daughter in The Back-up Plan and was part of the main cast of the Disney Junior Original Series Dance-a-Lot Robot as Caitlin. The first time she was cast was in Spy Kids All the Time in the World in 2011 as Rebecca Wilson, and in Little in Common as Raquel Pacheco in 2011. In the latter part of January, Blanchard was cast as Riley Matthews in the Disney Channel series Girl Meets World. Alongside Sabrina Carpenter, Blanchard sings the title track. The main character of the show is Cory and Topanga's daughter from Boy Meets World. She was a regular member of Disney Channel Circle of Stars. Blanchard was featured in the Disney Channel Original Movie Invisible Sister as Cleo early in January 2015.
