Maureen O'Hara Biography

Maureen O'Hara, an American actor and singer of Irish heritage, was a well-known figure. The passionate, passionate and fiery character she played in several American film productions was the reason that attracted attention to the green-eyed beauty. Her beauty and elegance were well-loved. Also, she was known as the Queen Of Technicolor and was a household name in Hollywood. The characters she played on screen reflected her strong, courageous spirit which fought for recognition and survival in a male-dominated society. She was known as "the tough Irish girl" and would not sacrifice her respect for others to get the roles she was entitled by merit. Through her long career in the field of film she was always vocal against injustice and improper treatment against female actors. For this, she earned lots of admirers. Her autobiography, "Tis herself", published in 2004 gave an unflinching description of her life , including the struggles she faced in her climb to success. She was an adventurous woman who didn't hesitate to attempt her own stunts. In the course of her career she appeared in more than 60 films, and gained a lot of popularity throughout the world. In the wake of Parra, she remarried again in the year 1968 to Charles F. Blair Jr. who was a former brigadier and chief pilot and a pioneer of transatlantic air travel, to mention a few achievements. After a few years of their union, O'Hara decided to quit her job. But her joy was fleeting when Blair died in a tragic plane crash in 1978. The same year, she was diagnosed with uterine carcinoma and required surgery immediately. She recovered eventually. She was diagnosed with six heart attacks, short-term memory loss and type 2 diabetes throughout the years. On October 24, 2015 O'Hara passed away peacefully in Boise, Idaho, from natural causes at the age of 95.
