Rena Sherel SOFER
Rena Sherel Sofer is an American
actressand model, well-known for her roles on the daytime network, occasional
guest appearances, and made-for-television films. Sofer received the Daytime
Emmy Award in 1995 for her role as Lois Cerullo on the soap series General
Hospital. Quinn Fuller has been her role in the CBS soap the show The Bold and
The Beautiful since 2013. Sofer was the daughter of Susan Sofer (a psychologist
professor) and Martin Sofer (a Conservative rabbi). The family later moved to
Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, until, after her parents' divorce,[citation neededshe
moved with her brother and father David to Teaneck, New Jersey, in the year
1970. They resided in Western Pennsylvania when Sofer was five years old. Their
family lived in Ambridge Pennsylvania where their father was the director of
Beth Samuels Jewish Center. She later attended the Frisch School in Paramus,
New Jersey, which is an co-educational Mordern Orthodox Jewish high-school.
Sofer was born in North Bergen, New Jersey. Her father was the rabbi at Temple
Beth El. After having graduated from North Bergen High School she attended
Montclair State College. Sofer was the first actress to perform as Lois Marie
Cerullo at General Hospital. In 1993, she was managing a band. However, her first
high-profile character was Rocky McKenzie on the daytime soap drama Loving
(1988-91). Sofer is most likely best known for her character Lois Cerullo on
General Hospital (December 15 1993 - September 24, 1996). Later, she was
guest-starring (February 7-17 September 30, 1997 September 30 - October 2
1997). In 1995, Sofer won a Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting
Actress in a Drama Series for her performance as Lois. In May 2013 it was
announced that Sofer would join the CBS soap opera The Bold and the Beautiful
and play the newly-created role as Quinn Fuller; her first episode aired on
July 12. Sofer has appeared as a guest actor/supporting cast member in a number
of high-profile primetime television shows, such as Seinfeld and Melrose Place.
The first episode of her debut aired on July 12.
