Watts was born 28 September 1968. Her debut film role came in Australia in For
Love Alone (1986) that was followed by three tv series: Hey Dad.. (1990),
Brides of Christ (911) and Home and Away (1991) and Flirting (1991). After
arriving in the United States, Watts initially was a struggle as an actress
performing in small-scale movies until she appeared in David Lynch's
psychological thriller Mulholland Drive in 2001 as an actress who was aspiring.
Her rise to international fame was brought about by this part. Watts was then
in the role of a tortured journalist in The Ring (2002). In her role as a
grieving mother , in the Alejandro film 21 Grams, she was nominated to win the
Academy Award for Best Actress. She continued to rise to the spotlight with her
the roles in I Heart Huckabees (2004) and King Kong (2005) as also Eastern
Promises (2007) and The International (2009). As a character in Maria Bennett
in the disaster film The Impossible (2012), Watts got another Academy Award
nomination for Best Actress. She appeared in films, like Birdman (2014) St.
Vincent (2014) and While We're Young (2015). Watts also continued to play in
blockbusters, with appearances in the Divergent franchise (2015-2016).
