Riley Keough
American
actress Danielle Riley Keough. [2] Born in Santa Monica, California, to the
famous musicians Lisa Marie Presley and Danny Keough who are the granddaughter
of actress Priscilla Presley and singer Elvis Presley. Keough was raised by her
father in Hawaii and Los Angeles, and additionally spent time residing with her
mother in California and Tennessee. She began modeling at the age of fifteen.
The appearances she made at Dolce & Gabbana fashion shows and Christian
Dior's cover shoots were just among her many highlights. Keough's first film
role came at 20 years old when she starred in a supporting part in the film
Marie Currie in The Runaways (2010). In the following years, she was a part of
the thriller independent film The Good Doctor (2011) followed by the horror
movie Jack & Diane (2012) after which she was part of a minor character
in Steven Soderbergh's comedy film Magic Mike (2012). Keough was also in a
number of independent films in 2012, including Yellow and Kiss of the Damned,
before making an appearance in the high-budget action feature Mad Max: Fury
Road (2015) 4th installment of the Mad Max series. In 2016, Keough had her
breakthrough role as a law student-turned-escort in the first season of the
anthology series The Girlfriend Experience, executive-produced by Soderbergh
and based on his 2009 film of the same name. Her role received praise from
critics and she was nominated for a Golden Globe Award for Best Performance by
an actress in a limited motion picture or series made for television. The
following performance of Keough as a reckless young female in the drama
American Honey (2017) earned the actress further praise as well as an
Independent Spirit Award nomination for Best Supporting Female. Keough was the
protagonist of the apocalyptic horror flick It Comes at Night (2017). Keough
then reunited Soderbergh to perform in Logan Lucky, a heist movie. This was
followed by appearances in a number of horror and thriller films in 2018,
including Lars von Trier's The House That Jack Built and the neonoir Under the
Silver Lake. In the year 2019, Keough starred as the leading character in the
psychological horror film The Lodge, followed by another lead role in the
comedy-drama Zola (2020). Keough plays the character Sandy Harrison, Netflix's
2020 release The Devil All the Time.
