Tracy Spiridakos

Tracy Spiridakos is a Canadian actor from Canada. She was a part of the Teletoon children's show Majority Rules as Becky Richards. from 2009 to 2010. Between 2009 and 2010, she appeared in the role of Charlotte Matheson (Charlie) on the NBC series Revolution which is a post-apocalyptic science fiction show. She was nominated for a Saturn Award as Best Actress on TV. Annika Johnson was the character Annika on the A&E television show Bates Motel. Since 2017, Spiridakos has starred on the NBC police drama Chicago P.D. As Detective Hailey Upton, Spiridakos is the main character. Spiridakos was brought up in Winnipeg, Manitoba by George Spiridakos and Anastasia Spiridakos, Greek-born restaurant owners. Spiridakos has two brothers. The family moved to Skala in Greece in the south of Sparta just after her birth. In 1992 the family came back to Canada. Spiridakos is deeply connected to her Greek roots and speaks fluent Greek. Spiridakos began acting at the age of junior high school, and later went to the Actors Training Centre of Manitoba. She was a graduate of Oak Park High School in Winnipeg in 2000. Spiridakos left Winnipeg to pursue acting in 2007 to pursue acting. She was able to get her first TV appearance on Supernatural within a matter of weeks. She appeared on television for a few more years with parts on Psych, The L Word, Hellcats and Bionic Woman. Spiridakos was in the TV film Goblin and also in the web-based series Mortal Kombat: Legacy. She was also a regular on Being Human, as Brynn McLean as the werewolf. In 2009, she won her first starring part in Majority Rules! Canada, where she played 15 year old Becky Richards. In 2011 she made her debut in feature films with Rise of the Planet of the Apes. She was also the director of Kill for Me, a low-budget horror film by Michael Greenspan. The film featured Donal Logue, Katie Cassidy and was directed by Michael Greenspan. Spiridakos played Sammi in Rags, a Nickelodeon original film. She then landed a lead part on the NBC TV series Revolution as Charlotte "Charlie" Matheson, the survivalist of the future of a dystopian society. As she attended her first pilot season, she auditioned for the part. Spiridakos was the cameraman for the pilot in Atlanta and shot the pilot in Wilmington, North Carolina. Her performance in the first season of the series was nominated her for a Saturn Award as Best Actress on Television. But she was unable to win to the actress from Fringe, Anna Torv. The second season of the show was filming in Austin, Texas.
